【Tsumura Kampo Medicine Otji-tou Extract Granules Product Details】
● These easy-to-take granules are made from extract derived from "Otji-tou."
● "Otji-tou" is a traditional Japanese Kampo medicine devised by Japanese Kampo physician Haran Nanyō, used for constipation with hard stools, hemorrhoids ("ibo-ji"), and anal fissures ("kire-ji").

【Indications and Effects】
- For individuals with moderate or higher physical strength, hard stools, and tendencies toward constipation, including: hemorrhoids, anal fissures, constipation, and mild prolapse.
【Usage and Dosage】
- Take the following amount before meals with water or hot water.
Adults (15 years and older): 1 packet per dose, twice a day
Children 7 to under 15 years: 2/3 packet per dose, twice a day
Children 4 to under 7 years: 1/2 packet per dose, twice a day
Children 2 to under 4 years: 1/3 packet per dose, twice a day
Under 2 years: Do not take.
★ Notes on usage and dosage
- When giving to children, do so under the supervision and guidance of a guardian.

【Ingredients】
Each 2 packets (3.75g) contain 2.0g of dried extract of mixed crude drugs in the following ratios:
Japan Pharmacopoeia Tōki (Angelica root): 3.0g
Japan Pharmacopoeia Sai-kō (Pulsatilla root): 2.5g
Japan Pharmacopoeia Ougon (Scutellaria root): 1.5g
Japan Pharmacopoeia Kanzo (Licorice root): 1.0g
Japan Pharmacopoeia Shōma (Cinnamon bark): 0.5g
Japan Pharmacopoeia Dōō (Rhubarb): 0.25g
Additives: Japan Pharmacopoeia Stearic acid magnesium, Japan Pharmacopoeia Lactose monohydrate
【Precautions】
★ Cautions for use
＜Do not do＞
- Do not take other laxatives while using this product.
- Pregnant or nursing women should not take this product or should avoid breastfeeding during use.
＜Consult before use＞
- Consult a doctor, pharmacist, or healthcare professional if you are:
(1) Under medical treatment.
(2) Pregnant or suspected to be pregnant.
(3) Have weak physical strength (frail or weak individuals).
(4) Have weak stomach/intestines or are prone to diarrhea.
(5) Elderly.
(6) Have experienced skin rashes, redness, itching from medications.
(7) Have symptoms such as swelling.
(8) Diagnosed with high blood pressure, heart disease, or kidney disease.
- If any of the following symptoms appear after taking, discontinue immediately and consult a doctor, pharmacist, or healthcare professional with the product documentation:
Skin: Rash, redness, itching
Digestive: Nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, severe diarrhea with abdominal pain, abdominal pain
In rare cases, serious symptoms may occur. Seek medical attention immediately in such cases:
- Interstitial pneumonia: Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, cough, fever, appearing suddenly or persisting.
- Pseudoaldosteronism, myopathy: Weakness, numbness, stiffness, or rigidity in limbs, along with fatigue and muscle pain, gradually worsening.
- Liver dysfunction: Fever, itching, skin rash, jaundice (yellowing of skin and eyes), brown urine, general fatigue, loss of appetite.
- Diarrhea may occur after taking; if symptoms persist or worsen, stop use and consult a healthcare professional.
- If symptoms do not improve after about one month (or 5-6 days for hemorrhoids and constipation), discontinue use and consult a healthcare professional.
- For long-term use, consult a healthcare professional.
★ Storage and handling precautions
- Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
- Keep out of reach of children.
- If saving remaining content after splitting the package, fold the bag opening and use within 2 days.
- Since this product contains crude drugs (medicinal herbs), slight variations in color or texture may occur, but efficacy remains unchanged.
- Do not use products past their expiration date.
