Q&A

What is Taiwan Alishan Zhulu Pearl Dew High Mountain Oolong Tea?

Taiwan Alishan Zhulu Pearl Dew High Mountain Oolong Tea is a Taiwanese high mountain oolong from the Alishan region, grown above 1,600 meters. It is lightly to moderately oxidized and known for its clean aroma, smooth texture, and refreshing sweetness.

What does this tea taste like?

It has a gentle floral aroma, a smooth and clear mouthfeel, and a soft natural sweetness. The cup is balanced and elegant, with no heavy roast character.

Does this tea contain caffeine?

Yes. Oolong tea naturally contains caffeine, and the strength can vary with leaf amount and steeping time.

Is this tea bitter?

When brewed with the recommended temperature and steep time, it is not bitter. A cooler brew and a short steep help keep the cup smooth and refreshing.

How many times can I steep this tea?

When brewed gongfu-style, this tea can be steeped 5–7 times. Later infusions often become lighter, softer, and more aromatic.

What's the difference between loose leaf and tea bags?

Loose leaf tea gives the leaves more room to open, which usually brings out fuller aroma, clearer flavor, and more infusions. Tea bags are more convenient, but loose leaf is the better choice when you want a more expressive cup.
