Detailed Description :
Milk thistle (Silybum marianum) has been used for over 2,000 years as an herbal remedy for a variety of ailments, particularly liver, kidney, and gall bladder problems. Milk thistle is a powerful liver tonic used to treat liver cirrhosis, chronic hepatitis (liver inflammation), and gallbladder disorders. Silymarin, the active component of Milk Thistle is actually composed of a group of flavonoids (silibinin, silidianin, and silicristin), they are powerful antioxidants that help fight aging and prevent diseases. Together, they are used to treat liver cirrhosis, chronic hepatitis, and gallbladder disorders. Silymarin helps create new, healthy liver cells without encouraging any malignant liver tissue growth. It is also an antioxidant protecting liver cells from damage by free radicals. Silymarin can help reduce inflammation to treat hepatitis. Additionally, Milk Thistle can lower cholesterol levels, reduce insulin resistance and the effects of a hangover. Milk Thistle is a component of many energy drinks to keep users feeling energetic and refreshed.
