【PRODUCT DESCRIPTION】

Dong-A Pharmaceutical MelaToning Cream is a milky white topical hyperpigmentation treatment formulated with 2% hydroquinone. By reducing excess melanin formation and acting on pigment already deposited in the skin, it helps gradually improve melasma, freckles, age spots and other localized excess pigmentation. The 50 g tube provides an ample format for targeted areas on the face or body.

【KEY INGREDIENTS & BENEFITS】

Hydroquinone 20 mg/g (2%): Inhibits tyrosinase, reduces excess melanin production and acts on deposited pigment to help gradually lighten visible hyperpigmentation.

The cream base also contains glycerin, shea butter, sodium hyaluronate and aloe vera gel as excipients for a smooth, spreadable texture. Hydroquinone is the active drug ingredient.

【WHEN TO USE】

For localized melasma, freckles, age spots and other unwanted excess pigmentation on the face, underarms, knees or elbows.

Use only as a targeted spot treatment on affected areas. Do not use as an all-over face cream, body lotion, sunscreen or sunburn preventive.

【HOW TO USE】

Before first use, apply a small amount behind the ear or inside the arm and observe for 24 hours. Do not proceed if itching, blistering or excessive inflammation occurs.

After skincare, dab a small amount only onto the pigmented area 1–2 times daily, in the morning and/or before bedtime.

Use sunscreen and protective clothing during daytime use. Reapply sunscreen every 2–3 hours while outdoors. If adequate sun protection cannot be maintained, bedtime application is preferred.

Do not treat more than 10% of the total skin surface. If no improvement appears after about two months, stop use and consult a physician or pharmacist. Do not self-use for an extended period.

Mutagenicity and carcinogenicity were observed in high-dose oral animal studies; treatment duration should therefore be limited according to response. Long-term hydroquinone use may increase the risk of ochronosis and persistent blue-black skin discoloration.
