Pepto Kids is the children's line of the Pepto brand by Procter & Gamble. This bubble gum flavored chewable antacid contains calcium carbonate 400mg per tablet (equivalent to 160mg calcium) and is classified as an antacid. Uses: relieves heartburn, acid indigestion, sour stomach, and upset stomach associated with these symptoms. Specs: 24 chewable tablets, artificially flavored bubble gum, pink chewables that can be taken without water. For children ages 2 and older; ask a doctor before use in children under 2. Directions based on weight (preferred) or age: 24-47 lbs (ages 2-5) 1 tablet; 48-95 lbs (ages 6-11) 2 tablets; repeat as needed. Do not take more than 3 tablets (ages 2-5) or 6 tablets (ages 6-11) in 24 hours, or use the maximum dosage for more than 2 weeks except under a doctor's supervision. Chew thoroughly; do not swallow whole. Warnings: ask a doctor or pharmacist before use if the child is taking a prescription drug (antacids may interact with certain prescription drugs); stop and ask a doctor if symptoms last more than 2 weeks; keep out of reach of children.
