Halal Oil-Free: Completely free of oils, made solely by stir-frying and grinding chili peppers, spices, and bean powder. Offers a refreshing, guilt-free taste for a healthier option.

Paste-like Texture: Not a liquid oil, but a dry blend of powder and granules. Requires adding water during cooking to form a thick, aromatic paste.

Spicy and Satisfying: Typically high in heat, yet featuring a complex aroma. It offers a layered spicy flavor from a blend of various chilies and spices, not just a simple, harsh heat.

Basic Method (Hot Pot/Spicy Stew Style):

This is the most classic and satisfying way to enjoy it.

Prepare the base broth: Pour the entire 220g spicy paste base into a pot. Add approximately 800ml-1000ml of water (or broth). Stir thoroughly with chopsticks until it forms a smooth paste.

Simmer: Heat over medium-low flame, stirring constantly to prevent scorching. Once boiling, the broth should thicken, turn a deep red hue, and release a rich aroma.

Simmer the ingredients: Now you can add all your prepared hotpot ingredients, just like eating hotpot! Recommended pairings:

Tofu products: Gluten, tofu skin, dried tofu sticks (absorb the broth perfectly).

Vegetables: Potato slices, wood ear mushrooms, greens, mushrooms.

Staples: Wide noodles, handmade noodles, instant noodles are the soul!

Serving: Cooked ingredients coated in the thick, spicy paste are delicious eaten directly.

Upgraded & Expanded Methods:

Cold Pot Skewers/Dipping Skewers:

Prepare the base sauce as above, pour into a deep bowl or pot, turn off heat, and let cool to lukewarm or room temperature.

Place cooked skewered items (like the cold pot skewers mentioned) directly into the sauce for soaking or dipping. This is one of Ningxia's most authentic street-style ways to enjoy spicy sauce.

Spicy Hot Pot / Spicy Toss:

Use directly as a spicy hot pot base, cooking all ingredients together in one pot.

After cooking, remove the ingredients. Depending on the thickness, add a bit more of the original broth to create a luxurious bowl of spicy stir-fried noodles.

Versatile Dipping/Tossing Sauce:

Take a small amount of the base sauce, mix with a little hot water to form a thicker sauce. Use it as a dipping sauce for grilled or blanched vegetables, or toss it with rice or noodles for an instant flavor boost.
