This tea cup is handcrafted by Master Hu, founder of Runcui Tang, a renowned workshop of the “Langhong lineage” in Jingdezhen. With a profound heritage tracing back to the Hong family kilns at the end of the Kangxi period of the Qing dynasty, Runcui Tang has specialized in colored-glaze artistry for centuries, and its mastery of glaze techniques has long been recognized by the Imperial kilns.
The “Immediate Wealth” Small Elegant Cup combines graceful form, auspicious symbolism, and practical beauty. The cup’s body features a smooth, delicate white glaze as the base, adorned with blue-and-white motifs on the exterior: a lively horse galloping with a gold ingot on its back, symbolizing wealth in motion and good fortune; surrounding the horse are round coin patterns, representing a continuous flow of prosperity. The name “Immediate Wealth” carries a double meaning—literally “instant wealth” and “wealth on the horse’s back”—expressing wishes for abundance and a smooth life. The cup’s base is finished in Xuande red glaze, a deep yet understated red that contrasts elegantly with the blue-and-white decoration, conveying both festivity and classical simplicity. Its overall design is clean, proportionate, and compact yet dignified. Comfortable to hold, it is perfect for daily tea drinking and also makes an ideal gift for the New Year or a meaningful collectible.
This elegant cup is not just a tea vessel—it is a way to incorporate blessings and traditional aesthetics into everyday life.
