Full product details
Mooncakes are a Chinese pastry typically eaten during the Mid-Autumn Festival, also known as the Moon Festival or Mooncake Festival, one of China's most important holidays. Amidst the celebrations, mooncakes are shared between family and friends. Often intricately decorated, mooncakes consist of a thin crust and a dense filling, usually of lotus seed paste or red bean paste. They may contain other special ingredients, such as yolks from salted duck eggs or nuts.
Daoxiang Village was founded in Suzhou in 1773, and in the two centuries since, they have grown into one of the most important producers of pastries in China. For generations, their "Masters" have passed down the knowledge and the skills required to produce the highest quality baked goods. They offer a range of Chinese delicacies including mooncakes, ox tongue cakes, honey twists, breads, dumplings, and plenty more.

Suzhou-Style Black Sesame & Nuts Mooncake
