The Daily Rituals of a Health-Conscious Person
As I get older, I've begun to understand the importance of taking better care of my body. I don't pursue immediate results, but rather appreciate the gradual, cumulative nourishment.
Every morning, I boil a kettle of water and add two or three slices of Changbai Mountain ginseng to a cup. Watching the hot water pour in, the ginseng slices slowly unfurl, releasing a pale yellow broth, and the aroma of ginseng rises with the steam. These few minutes of brewing tea are the most peaceful moments of the day. A sip reveals a slightly bitter taste followed by a sweet aftertaste, much like life itself.
Sometimes when I go out, I carry a few slices in a small portable box. Whenever I remember, I take one and let the aroma slowly release in my mouth. A 50-gram box is just enough for one or two months. This small ritual adds a touch of self-care to each day.
