◎Kaigen Cold Medicine Liquid for Children contains herbal formula licorice extract and ginseng extract to help recover weakened physical strength from colds. It also combines antipyretic analgesics, antitussive expectorants, and antihistamines to help relieve various cold symptoms along with the herbal extracts.

■ Indications and Effects
Relief of various cold symptoms (fever, cough, sore throat, phlegm, headache, runny nose, nasal congestion, sneezing, chills, joint pain, muscle pain).

■ Dosage and Administration
Take the following single dose 3 times a day, preferably within 30 minutes after meals and before bedtime if necessary.
Depending on the situation, it may be taken up to 6 times a day at intervals of about 4 hours.

3 years and older to under 7 years・・・5 mL
1 year and older to under 3 years・・・3.5 mL
6 months and older to under 1 year・・・3 mL
3 months and older to under 6 months・・・2.5 mL
Under 3 months・・・Do not administer
(1) Strictly adhere to the prescribed dosage and administration.
(2) When administering to children, do so under the guidance and supervision of a guardian.
(3) For infants under 2 years old, prioritize a doctor's consultation and administer only if unavoidable.

■ Ingredients and Amounts
The following ingredients are contained in 30 mL.

Ginseng Extract (as ginseng 250 mg)・・・0.25 mL・・・Helps recover weakened physical strength from cold and supports gastrointestinal function.
Acetaminophen・・・300 mg・・・Reduces fever and relieves headache and joint pain.
dl-Methylephedrine Hydrochloride・・・20 mg・・・Dilates the bronchi and suppresses cough.
Chlorpheniramine Maleate・・・2.5 mg・・・Relieves allergic symptoms such as runny nose, nasal congestion, and sneezing seen in the early stages of cold.
Anhydrous Caffeine・・・25 mg・・・Relieves headache.
○ Additives include parabens, sodium dehydroacetate, sodium benzoate, hydrated citric acid, hydrated sodium citrate, white sugar, caramel, ethanol, propylene glycol, vanillin, and flavoring.

■ Storage and Handling Precautions
(1) Store tightly closed in a cool place away from direct sunlight.
(2) Keep out of reach of children.
(3) Do not transfer to other containers (may cause misuse or change in quality).
(4) This product contains herbal extracts and may show slight turbidity, but this does not affect efficacy; shake well before use.
(5) Do not use the product after the expiration date indicated on the outer box.

■ Precautions for Use

1. Do not take if:
(1) You have had allergic reactions to this product or its ingredients.
(2) You have had asthma triggered by this product or other cold medicines or antipyretic analgesics.
2. Do not use any of the following while taking this medicine:
Other cold medicines, antipyretic analgesics, sedatives, antitussive expectorants, antihistamine-containing oral medicines (oral medicines for rhinitis, motion sickness, allergies, etc.)
3. Do not drive vehicles or operate machinery after taking this medicine (drowsiness may occur).
4. Do not drink alcohol before or after taking this medicine.
5. Do not use continuously for a long period.

1. Before taking, consult if you:
(1) Are receiving medical or dental treatment.
(2) Are pregnant or think you may be pregnant.
(3) Are breastfeeding.
(4) Are elderly.
(5) Have had allergic reactions to drugs.
(6) Have symptoms such as high fever, difficulty urinating.
(7) Have been diagnosed with thyroid dysfunction, diabetes, heart disease, hypertension, liver disease, kidney disease, gastric or duodenal ulcer, glaucoma.
2. If any of the following symptoms appear after taking this medicine, stop use immediately and consult a doctor or pharmacist with this document as it may be a side effect:

Rarely, the following serious symptoms may occur; seek immediate medical attention:

Stevens-Johnson syndrome, toxic epidermal necrolysis, acute generalized exanthematous pustulosis・・・High fever, eye redness, eye discharge, lip erosion, sore throat, widespread rash/redness, small pustules on reddened skin, general fatigue, loss of appetite, or sudden worsening.
Liver dysfunction・・・Fever, itching, rash, jaundice (yellowing of skin and whites of eyes), dark urine, general fatigue, loss of appetite.
Kidney disorder・・・Fever, rash, reduced urine output, general swelling, general fatigue, joint pain, diarrhea.
Interstitial pneumonia・・・Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing when climbing stairs or exerting slightly, dry cough, fever, sudden onset or persistence.
Asthma・・・Wheezing when breathing, difficulty breathing.
Aplastic anemia・・・Bruising, nosebleeds, bleeding gums, fever, pale skin or mucous membranes, fatigue, palpitations, shortness of breath, dizziness, blood in urine.
Agranulocytosis・・・Sudden high fever, chills, sore throat.
3. The following symptoms may appear after taking; if persistent or worsening, stop use and consult a doctor or pharmacist with this document:
Dry mouth, drowsiness.
4. If symptoms do not improve after 5 to 6 doses, stop use and consult a doctor or pharmacist with this document.
